Introduced in 2022, the Hyundai Elantra N is the South Korean automaker’s first jab at making a performance sedan with aggressive looks, a potent engine, and a properly tuned sport suspension.

The regular Elantra received a facelift some time ago, so it was only a matter of time before Hyundai would also give its N performance version a nip and tuck ahead of the 2024 model year.

The biggest and most apparent difference in styling would be the front fascia, with slimmed LED headlights, a revised grille, larger air intakes, and additional red trimming. The Hyundai logo also gets a blacked-out treatment, and the Elantra N now sports two new 19-inch wheel options—a black 10-spoke design and a silver five-spoke option with circular patterns. The latter option mimics a particular Italian manufacturer’s wheel design which is quite attractive and eye-catching.

2024 Refreshed Hyundai Elantra N

Introduced in 2022, the Hyundai Elantra N is the South Korean automaker’s first jab at making a performance sedan with aggressive looks, a potent engine, and a properly tuned sport suspension.

The regular Elantra received a facelift some time ago, so it was only a matter of time before Hyundai would also give its N performance version a nip and tuck ahead of the 2024 model year.

2024 Refreshed Hyundai Elantra N

Hyundai has yet to reveal if there are any updates in the interior, but we expect that it will have a revised infotainment system similar to its current offerings in the market. A revised instrument cluster may also be possible as well as updates to the steering wheel, bucket seats, and added interior trimming.

The pre-facelifted Elantra N is powered by a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four engine, producing 276 hp and 392 Nm of torque, and while we expect the same engine to be used in the refresh, there might be a slight bump in power. As with the engine, we could also expect Hyundai to retain a six-speed manual transmission as standard, with an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic sticking around as an option for those wanting to leave their performance sedan to its own devices.

Refreshed Hyundai Elantra N

With a lot of the information about the refreshed Elantra N still under wraps, the interior, and power updates are still up for speculation, but whichever way you look at it, the Elantra N does look good and could make for welcome competition, along with the other performance vehicles offered here in the Philippines. So, Hyundai Motor Philippines, will we see an N car here on our shores soon, or ever?
