Hyundai Motor Philippines is in full force for the 18th Manila International Auto Show. While the South Korean brand is also making strides in the EV space by showcasing the IONIQ 6, it’s also bolstering its current lineup with all-new variants. The Stargazer will get a new variant before the end of 2023, and it’ll be a more premium offering compared to the standard seven-seater variants that currently populate the Stargazer family.

The Stargazer Six-Seater is showcased at the 2023 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS 2023). The show will go on from April 13, all the way to April 16, 2023, with the Hyundai booth available to the general public.

For now, the Stargazer Six-Seater will not be readily available for purchase. Hyundai Motor Philippines stated that the new variant will be available later in the year, however, the pre-order books for the specific variant will be open to the public for interested parties.
“Hyundai, being the third leading brand in the world, has widespread R&D facilities and talent that permit us to ‘Innovate Everyday’. We are able to focus on finding the right avenues that enable us to uplift the quality of life among Filipinos, at the same time provide them freedom of movement. By giving them these, they get make the most out of their time and enjoy what’s truly important. In 2023, one of our main objectives, is to increase our customer satisfaction index. We shall do so by providing existing and new Hyundai owners the Aftersales care and expertise they deserve. Then, continue expanding our reach by growing our network to 45 outlets and further strengthening our product line-up.”
Mr. Cecil Capacete
Managing Director, Hyundai Motor Philippines
The upcoming variant of the Stargazer will be the “premium option” in the lineup, according to Hyundai Motor Philippines. The six-seater will feature the same unique futuristic design that set the Stargazer apart from its other rivals. The signature daytime running lights make a return for this variant (as they should), and the H-shaped taillights at the rear give a nice impression of premium mixed with a progressive design.

In terms of features, Hyundai Motor Philippines assures us that the model will come with the same advanced tech and safety kit that makes the Stargazer in its top-spec trim a worthwhile buy. Features such as the tire pressure monitoring system, Safe Exit Warning, which alerts when alighting the vehicle and there is a hazard from behind, and Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA), which detects the risk of crashing into pedestrians or other cars by automatically applying the brakes. The party piece of this variant will be the six-seater configuration, which is set up in a 2-2-2 arrangement. The middle row is where the magic happens since buyers can expect two captain’s chairs in the second row which allows the MPV to accommodate two passengers in “first-class” fashion. On top of the snazzy seats, the Stargazer still retains its ISOFIX-tethers in the second row, and also the same cargo-carrying capacity as its seven-seat variant.
We can expect the price for this model to fall around the price range of the current lineup of Stargazers, if not a little more expensive. Hyundai Motor Philippines hasn’t finalized the pricing for the model yet at the time of this article’s writing, so we’re staying tuned for the brand’s announcement soon.
