H0710004 Pulubi, Pinagtawanan ng Mga Model Pero Siya ang Napiling Star! part2

If you’re a motorist who frequently travels on the EDSA highway, this is for you. The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) released a public advisory, specifically for a portion of the EDSA-Ayala Southbound service road.

In the MMDA’s Facebook post, the agency confirmed that all cars are permitted to use all lanes of the EDSA-Ayala Southbound service road except the bicycle lane found on the rightmost side of the road.

Related: Metro Manila mayors have approved the single-ticketing system

The reason why the MMDA had to make this announcement is that it was confusing for motorists about whether or not private motorists can use specific sections of the service road allotted for buses on EDSA. EDSA-Ayala Southbound is an example of this which prompted the MMDA to clear the air for us.

“Lanes on the service road are not exclusive for public utility buses since the EDSA Bus Carousel-Ayala loading and unloading bay was moved to the One Ayala Grand Terminal.”

Private cars being allowed to pass through the service road can be a good thing, preventing congestion points caused by cars avoiding the old bus lanes. The MMDA also pointed out that the since the EDSA Bus Carousel-Ayala loading and unloading bay was moved to the One Ayala Grand Terminal, lanes on the service road are not exclusive for PUBs.

Be advised of these recent developments in EDSA and drive safely. Since this is a very recent advisory from the MMDA, it’s best to err on the side of caution and keep a copy of their official advisory on your vehicle.
