H0810006 Iniwan Dahil Mahirap Nagsumikap Yumaman! part2

The Mazda CX-9 will soon be replaced, as the Japanese automaker has announced that the 2024 Mazda CX-90 will be replacing it in the North American market by 2023. Like its predecessor the new model will also be a three-row crossover, however, it will not come with four-cylinder power. Instead, the CX-90 will come with the brand’s latest inline-six motor as it will be the brand’s biggest crossover as of yet. It will be available in either rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive.

As Mazda has been quiet about its powertrain, we do not know its exact figures just yet, however, we do know that it will have a 3.0-liter displacement. Aside from the inline-six motor, Mazda has also stated that a PHEV version will be available dubbed e-SkyActiv. However, unlike other PHEV systems that have been tuned for efficiency, the Japanese automaker states that its version will be tuned to deliver both performance and efficiency.

This could indicate that for the new hybrid drivetrain, at least for the North American market, the CX-90 could be equipped with a 2.5-liter SkyActiv-G engine which will be paired with an electric motor and a 17.8-kWh battery pack which was seen in the CX-60. This points to the PHEV CX-90 having at least 322 hp and 500 Nm of torque, making it the most powerful production road car Mazda has produced to date. It may also adopt an 8-speed automatic transmission that comes with an i-Activ AWD system.

For now, we will just have to wait on what Mazda has to offer as the Japanese automaker is set to reveal the all-new Mazda CX-90 right after the new year. We will keep you updated with more information as it comes along regarding the new inline-six engine plus the new PHEV system that the CX-90 will reportedly have.
