H0810003 Scammer Nakatikim ng Karma! part2

MINI, just like a bunch of other European brands, has pledged its resources to develop new electric models. There will be no more internal combustion engines (ICEs) by 2025, and the company is set to become a fully-electric brand paving the way for a carbon-neutral future.

Within the next two to three years, the brand plans to transition, as evidenced by its setup at the newly-inaugurated BGC showroom in Taguig City. MINI Philippines showcased plans for new charging stations for its cars at its new location, to be installed in the near future. While we still don’t have an all-electric model in the country, MINI stated that we can expect the first Cooper SE to come in by 2024.

Introduced in 2020, the Cooper SE features an all-electric powertrain, and it will be the British brand’s first-ever fully-electric vehicle in MINI’s history in the Philippines. As reported by our colleagues present the event, the new Cooper SE’s arrival in 2024 was confirmed by MINI Philippines’ general manager, Jefferson Lizardo.

As reported by our colleagues present the event, the new Cooper SE’s arrival in 2024 was confirmed by MINI Philippines’ general manager, Jefferson Lizardo.

While we do have confirmation, of the Cooper SE, details of it for the Philippine-spec unit are sparse for the time being. International markets, however, reveal that the electric hatchback will have a 32.6-kWh lithium-ion battery pack which is estimated to have a total range between 235 km and 270 km.

The electric motor will drive the front wheels of the hatchback, and it is also located at the front of the car. According to international specifications, the hatchback will produce 181 hp and 270 Nm of torque, with a reported 0-100km/h time of 7.3 seconds. The powertrain is also expected to hit 150 km/h, which is electronically limited.

As for its charging capabilities, MINI reports that it will take up to two and a half hours to charge the battery to 80 percent using a standard charging station. A fast charging station will be able to grant you an 80 percent charge in only 35 minutes.
