H0810010 Nagpanggap na may GF, Para Matanggap ng Pamilya! part2

Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) is still holding strong as the country’s number-one car brand. The Japanese automaker, according to TopGear.com.ph has stated that its sales have not only recovered from the pandemic but have actually surpassed pre-pandemic levels.

The report further states that according to TMP Chairman Alfred Ty, the brand’s 2022 sales up to November are already higher than pre-pandemic levels by eight percent. He further states that as a whole, the local automotive industry is recovering as well.

After a rocky start as a result of the Omicron virus spread in January, we have seen a resurgence in the automotive market. New vehicle sales have come back strongly especially due to the re-opening of the economy and return of pent-up demand in March.

He continues by stating that the market is now back to 87 percent of pre-COVID levels and is catching up more quickly. He believes that the recovery could have been quicker if not for the global chip shortage and disruptions in the supply chain.

The report also further states that Toyota Philippines is ready to bring in more new models for 2023. This comes from a quote from TMP President, Astuhiro Okamoto that states “New models are coming to help us achieve this and I am very excited to introduce them to you all soon. He continues by saying. “But for now, I cannot reveal anything yet so let’s focus on our celebration and be all optimistic for the coming year.

While not yet confirmed, this could mean that the new Toyota Innova and the new Toyota Vios are set to arrive in the country sometime in 2023. For now, it’s a waiting game to see what Toyota will have in store for the local market in the next year to come.
