San Miguel Corporation Infrastructure is getting ready for the influx of motorists this coming Holy Week at all of its expressways, namely, The South Luzon Expressway (SLEX), Southern Tagalog Arterial Road (STAR), NAIA Expressway (NAIAX), SKYWAY,  and the Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEX).

SMC Infrastructure has deployed increased personnel and workforce to ensure a smoother flow of traffic and to be able to accommodate the increased number of motorists. This includes booth tellers for faster transactions and Mobile patrol units to direct traffic flow and respond to any emergencies that might arise in any of their expressways.

SMC Infrastructure also encourages motorists to load up their Autosweep RFID accounts and have their Autosweep cards ready to avoid any delays and ensure a smoother traffic flow. It is also urged that motorists who have yet to secure an RFID for their designated vehicle can do so in their designated branches before the holiday rush starts. Ambulant tellers are also deployed to scan cards for faster transactions to avoid heavy buildup at the toll gates.

Asides from the increased manpower, SMC Infrastructure has also suspended all roadworks in their expressways to not disrupt the flow of traffic. They have also tapped the help of various authorities, such as the police and Local Government Units (LGUs), to help with traffic management plans and implementation.

That said, you can also do your part in easing traffic flow by ensuring your vehicle is properly maintained and in tip-top shape for the journey ahead. The last thing you would want is to hinder and delay your trip and affect everybody else on the road because of vehicular problems caused by lack of maintenance.

Always remember to follow the speed limit at all times and respect your fellow motorists on the road. Drive safely and enjoy the holidays with your friends and family.
