Jeep PH is adding another model to its lineup of SUVs. Joining the Wrangler and Gladiator is the seven-seater Grand Cherokee L, the fifth generation of the Grand Cherokee line and the first to have seven seats.
After its worldwide release in 2021, the brand-new Grand Cherokee L utilizes the FCA Giorgio platform as its body foundation, the same platform used in Alfa Romeo’s Stelvio SUV. The Grand Cherokee is 5204mm long, 1979mm wide, and stands 1816mm tall, with a wheelbase of 3091mm.

Although it doesn’t resemble a Wrangler, the Grand Cherokee L is unmistakably a Jeep product with the company’s distinct seven-slot grille featured on the front. In terms of exterior features, the vehicle includes chrome accents on the bumper and window frames, 20-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, roof rails, and a panoramic sunroof.
To achieve an upright SUV appearance for the Grand Cherokee L, Jeep opted for a straightforward horizontal character line along the side profile. The vehicle’s large, 20-inch wheels fit well within the car’s wide wheel arches. At the back, the car features slender LED taillights and a horizontal bar spanning the width of the tailgate.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee L is now here in the Philippines, priced at P5,490,000

The Grand Cherokee L Limited’s interior has a leather-trimmed dashboard with contrast stitching, a 10.1-inch infotainment screen, and a digital instrument cluster. The infotainment system employs the newest UConnect 5 software, offering up to five user profiles and a customizable home screen. Additionally, it can link with various smartphones to accommodate multiple passengers. Other features include wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, a wireless charging pad, a heads-up display, ambient LED lighting, and an Alpine-developed nine-speaker audio system.
Under the hood, Jeep Philippines provides the Grand Cherokee L with a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine that generates 278 hp and 344 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission featuring Jeep’s Quadra-Trac full-time 4WD system.
In addition, the Grand Cherokee L has a permanent four-wheel drive system, complete with the Selec-Terrain Traction Management System. This feature provides selectable off-road driving modes, including Auto, Sport, Rock, Snow, or Mud/Sand, accessible with a simple flick of a switch. Surprisingly, Jeep has been transparent about the vehicle’s fuel efficiency, claiming 8.1 km/L in the city (with stop-start mode activated) and 11 km/L on the highway.
If you have a few million pesos to spare, the Jeep Grand Cherokee L Limited can be yours for P5,490,000.
