H0710007 INIWAN NG MGA ANAK ANG TATAY SA HOME AGED KASE WALA NG SILBE part2

Hot on the heels of their announcement that they will release five new electric vehicles, Peugeot is fitting mild-hybrid technology in the current generation 3008 and 5008 SUVs. Announced during Peugeot’s E-LION Day in late January, the two SUVs from the French brand will benefit from a fuel consumption reduction of up to 15 percent with the addition of a mild-hybrid system.

Peugeot has researched and found that the 3008 and 5008 SUVs consume about 2.5 Liters of fuel per 100 kilometers in the city with a 48V setup. On the highway, there are no notable differences to report as the two SUVs consume just the same amount of fuel as their non-hybrid counterparts. The mild-hybrid powertrain in these cars cut fuel consumption by 1 liter per 100 km in the World Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP) cycle. Carbon emissions for both vehicles are decreased on average by 20 g/km.

Powering the pair of SUVs is a newly-developed turbocharged, three-cylinder engine. The 1.2-liter mill produces 134 hp at 5,500 rpm and 230 Nm of torque from 1,750 rpm. The new power unit benefits from a variable geometry turbocharger, this engine runs on the Miller combustion cycle and is fitted with a timing chain which lowers costs in maintenance.

Peugeot Engine Inline

Powering the pair of SUVs is a newly-developed turbocharged, three-cylinder engine. The 1.2-liter mill produces 134 hp at 5,500 rpm and 230 Nm of torque from 1,750 rpm. The new power unit benefits from a variable geometry turbocharger, this engine runs on the Miller combustion cycle and is fitted with a timing chain which lowers costs in maintenance.

Also new in the 3008 and 5008 is the dual-clutch, six-speed automatic transmission housing the electric motor, inverter, and ECU. The electric motor can provide an extra 28 hp and 55 Nm of torque, with the electric motor taking over for the engine when torque requirements are minimal.

While the vehicle is decelerating, the engine also has the job of feeding the 48V battery. This particular battery is a lithium-ion battery capable of a usable capacity of up to 432 Wh. In the process of converting the current SUVs into a hybrid, Peugeot placed the battery pack under the front seat, ensuring that cargo capacity remains unchanged compared to the pure gasoline version.

Since the hybrid 3008 and 5008 is capable of briefly driving in pure electric mode, Peugeot is installing an Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System (AVAS) that activates at speeds of up to 30 km/h to alert pedestrians and cyclists.

The new hybrid powertrain will be replacing the current PureTech 130 EAT8 powertrain, in addition, the new hybrid system will also be fitted to other Peugeot vehicles such as the 208, 2008, 308, 308 SW, and 408. The new hybrid 3008 and 5008 will be assembled at Peugeot’s Sochaux factory in France, the electrified crossovers are expected to go on sale in Europe by the second quarter of the year.
