After being opened to the public earlier this year and being free, the CAVITEX C-5 link will now come with toll fees according to a recent announcement from the Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation South (MPTC South).
The toll collection officially began on November 27, 2022, with the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB) issuing a Notice to Start Collection to CAVITEX Infrastructure Corporation which is a subsidiary of MPTC. That being said, here are the following toll fees per vehicle class on the CAVITEX C-5 Link.
- Class 1 – P35
- Class 2 – P69
- Class 3 – P104
While these toll fees are within a reasonable range, they are actually much cheaper than what was originally proposed last August by a few pesos. One has to remember that toll fees collected will go to the maintenance of the roadway along with paying for the equipment and personnel needed to keep things running smoothly.
The CAVITEX C-5 link was opened to the public last August 14, 2022, and is a 1.6 km stretch of road that serves as an extension of the expressway’s segment 3.2. This allows motorists better access and improved travel time for those who are bound for C5 road in Taguig coming from Merville, Paranaque, and vice versa.

While this section of road was once free it now comes with a small toll fee if you want to pass through it.

Aside from this CAVITEX management also introduced new traffic schemes to the area for better traffic flow. The company also opened a new Merville Exit Ramp last October to cater to motorists heading to Merville.
The CAVITEX C-5 Link is expected to be a total of 7.7 kilometers long and will connect to CAVITEX by 2023. This will reduce travel time for motorists going to Makati, Taguig, and Pasay (and vice versa) from CAVITEX by around 30 to 45 minutes. More importantly, MPTC South and CAVITEX believe that this will help decongest other major thoroughfares like EDSA, and MIA Road.
