H0810002 Tindera Pinalayas Ang Amoy Bagoong na part2

The MG ZS has been in the Philippine market for quite some time now, it has quickly gained popularity for its affordability along with its great feature set. However, as it gets long in the tooth its rivals have been slowly updating their vehicles. While MG Philippines has released the MG ZS-T which is technically its facelifted version, in other markets another facelift is set to happen but for its EV version. We got a glimpse as to what this could be thanks to leaked patent images online from China.

While the image is for the MG ZS EV model, some of its design elements could make their way into its gasoline-powered version. The front end of the upcoming facelift is much sharper and simpler than the outgoing model. As this is an EV, there is no grille to speak of, only an etched grille-shape trim piece will be in its place. This means that the MG logo will now be moved to the hood of the car and will be flanked by a pair of slim converging LED headlights. It will also likely receive a new bumper that will further complement the changes to the front of the vehicle.

Moving on to the side and the patent images reveal a similar silhouette to the current model but this time with a new set of wheels. As this is primarily a facelift to the front of the vehicle the hood and the front quarter panels are new to fit the new headlights and front bumper.

As for the inside of the 2023 MG SZ EV, this is yet unknown, however, reports are saying that it will look similar to the MG4 hatchback with a minimalist cabin with very few physical buttons and with a large 10.25-inch touchscreen as the centerpiece of the vehicle.  A large digital display is also expected to be found on the dashboard as well.

For now, it’s a waiting game to see when this new version of the MG ZS EV will make it into production. As these are patent images we could expect its full reveal to happen very soon. Who knows with the spike in increase for hybrid and electric vehicles in the Philippines it could soon make its way into the local market as well.
